Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Herui boost&Tool VPN (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the Herui boost&Tool VPN mobile application (the “App”).
1. About this App
Herui boost&Tool VPN is a mobile application available for iOS devices. The App provides network acceleration features (via VPN-like connections and server nodes) and includes additional utilities such as a password generator, private browser and basic image tools.
The App may display advertising and offer optional in-app purchases and/or subscriptions to unlock VIP features and additional server nodes.
2. Information we may collect
Depending on how you interact with the App, we may collect or process the following categories of information. Some of this information may be collected directly by us, and some may be collected by third parties (such as Apple, analytics providers or advertising partners) on our behalf.
2.1. Information you provide directly
In general, the App does not require you to create an account with us directly. However, you may provide:
- Support information – such as your email address and the content of your message when you contact us for help or feedback.
- In-app inputs – such as parameters you enter into the password generator or search terms you type in the private browser. These are typically processed on your device and are not stored by us, except as necessary to operate the feature.
2.2. Device and usage information
When you use the App, we or our third-party providers may automatically collect certain technical information related to your device and usage, for example:
- Device type, operating system version and language settings.
- Country or general region (based on IP or device settings).
- App version, settings and interaction events (e.g., which screens you open).
- IP address and connection information needed to establish the VPN or server node connection.
- Diagnostic or crash information to help us improve stability and performance.
This information is typically collected in an aggregated or pseudonymous form and does not enable us to identify you personally, unless such identification is required for security or legal purposes.
2.3. Subscription and purchase information
Purchases and subscriptions for VIP features are processed by Apple via your Apple ID. We do not receive your full payment details (such as complete credit card number).
We may receive limited information from Apple related to your purchase, for example:
- That a purchase or subscription has been made or renewed.
- The type of product (e.g., VIP subscription) and its duration.
- An anonymized transaction or subscriber identifier, where applicable.
2.4. Advertising and analytics identifiers
The App may use advertising and analytics technologies that rely on identifiers (for example, Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), device identifiers or similar technologies). These identifiers can be used to:
- Measure how users interact with the App (analytics).
- Display or measure the performance of advertising.
- Limit the frequency of ads you see.
You can usually control or reset such identifiers using your device’s operating system settings (for example, “Limit Ad Tracking” or similar options on iOS).
3. How we use information
We may use the information described above for the following purposes:
- To operate the App – including establishing and maintaining the VPN / node connection and providing the built-in tools.
- To improve performance – such as monitoring server availability and optimizing routing.
- To provide customer support – responding to your inquiries or feedback.
- To show ads and measure their performance – where the free version of the App contains advertising.
- To perform analytics – understanding usage patterns so we can improve design, stability and features.
- To detect and prevent misuse – e.g., abuse, fraud or security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations – where we are required to retain or disclose certain information under applicable laws.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the limited circumstances described below:
- Service providers – We may use third-party companies to provide services such as analytics, crash reporting, hosting or ad delivery. These providers may process limited data on our behalf and are generally bound by data protection obligations.
- Advertising partners – When ads are displayed, advertising partners may receive anonymized or pseudonymous information as needed to serve and measure ads.
- Legal and safety reasons – We may disclose information if required by law or if we believe that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect our rights, users, or the public.
- Business changes – In the event of a merger, acquisition or other reorganization, data may be transferred as part of the business assets, subject to relevant confidentiality obligations.
5. Data retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or as required by applicable law. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and the purposes for which it was collected (for example, billing information may be retained longer to comply with accounting or tax requirements).
6. International transfers
Depending on your location and on where our servers or those of our service providers are located, information may be processed in countries other than your own. We aim to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, which may include the right to:
- Request access to the information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion of your information, subject to certain exceptions.
- Object to or restrict certain types of processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on your consent.
To exercise your rights, you can contact us using the details in the Contact us section below. We may need to verify your identity before responding to certain requests.
In addition, you can adjust settings on your device (for example, privacy, tracking or ad preferences) to control certain data collection on your side.
8. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age where parental consent is required under local law (for example, 13 or 16 years old, depending on the jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children in such age ranges.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take appropriate steps to delete such information where required by law.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we process from unauthorized access, loss, misuse or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Third-party services and links
The App may contain links to third-party websites, services or content that are not operated by us (for example, external websites opened in the private browser or links inside advertisements). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of such third parties, and their policies may differ from ours.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the App, in our data practices or in applicable laws. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the App.
